[Long time no talk, Johto. Mainly because as far as Duncan's concerned, most of you could go jump off a bridge and he still wouldn't care, but that's not really important right now. What is important is the lack of good music to keep his anti-social impulses in check. For the time being though, he's busy taking up the whole living room couch back at his shared home in Goldenrod.]

Anybody else notice how lame the music is around here? Even the punk rock's all about these stupid Pokémon.

[Whoops, poor word choice! There's a brief, angry growl from somewhere off camera that makes the green-haired delinquent roll his eyes and get his apology on.]

Get over it, Fang. It's just a figure of speech!

[Just like "bite me," but after a few unfortunate incidents involving Fang back when he was just Bitey the Poochyena, Duncan's stopped using that one.]

But it's pretty lame when all the music talks about the same thing. It's better than whatever it is we gotta listen to anytime we wander around this place, but it's not like I want to be stuck with just one or the other all the time. How can a place with super-powered wildlife have so much lousy music, anyway?

Definitely. There ain't a whole lotta things that shouldn't make it into punk rock, but "Jigglypuff" is definitely one of 'em.

Yeah, well, everything here is all about Pokemon. The shops, the cities... heck, even the food. Are you really that surprised about the music?

Hey, you're the one who asked about the music. Anyway, it's not all about pokemon - well, the stuff the locals make is, but there's a few people around here who do their own music. If you hate the songs on the radio so much, maybe you can give that a shot.

[...Duncan actually seems to give that idea some thought. Getting a band back togetehr wasn't exactly Plan A, but if that was the only option...]

How should I know who you'd know? Anyway, they're not anybody I know personally - just a couple people I've seen on the network. I remember this one girl performing some kind of pop song in Goldenrod a while back, and another guy was taking requests on some sort of mandolin thing. If you know how to play, though, maybe you can try showing off your own stuff. Who knows, maybe you can find somebody else who'd be into it.
